Rimmel Glam Eyes trio in 750 Tempting

Last week, I picked up Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeshadow Trio in 750 for I believe $3.50 at my local Superstore. This says it complements brown eyes, and I couldn't resist the price. I've also been really into green eyeshadow lately.

(Omg, the way the pics are taken totally trips me out. Sorry if it trips you out too! :P)

Unfortunately, I didn't find this trio very pigmented. It's not the worst, but with so many other options, I just don't see myself reaching for this. I haven't tried it on my eyes yet, so I'm just going by the swatches.

I layered the shadow MANY times to get these swatches. Too much work in my opinion. I'm sad because I really think they are lovely shades! I don't know if you can tell from the swatches, but the shade furthest to the right actually has a lovely pearlescent green hint to it. So pretty!

I'd definitely try some of the other trios and quads from this line. My sister has one of the quads (can't recall the name) and it was a lot more pigmented upon swatching. I guess these are hit and miss! Have you tried any of the Glam Eyes shadows? What are your thoughts? Thanks for reading! :)

  1. Ohhh! I like these! They seem decently pigmented...did you feel/see a difference from the quad I have? The quad I have is Rimmel Glam Eyes HD Palette in 003 Royal Blue. Does your superstore had any GLam Eyes Palettes? Maybe that is where the quality changes? xo

    1. I'm sure they do! I just picked up this one because it was on sale. :P And only this particular shade was on sale...weird. I'll look for the HD one next time! Maybe they are better quality! :) xo

    1. Thanks, Simera! I don't usually either, but I too thought they were pretty...and dirt cheap. :)

  3. I have the rimmel quad and I have trouble with pigmentation as well.
What I did though was use a q-tip and swiped the top layer off cause it seemed like it was blocking my brush from picking up any color.
After that, the powder became looser and easier to pick up with more pigmentation too!

  4. Hmm... never tried this quad but i always see it at shoppers.. everything looks pretty on the shelf, but it's so hard to tell the quality if you cant test it out!

  7. I have four or five of the Glam Eyes quads and I love them all. A couple of the shades look a bit chalky and unpigmented, but I find the majority work well. Especially love State of Grace and Sun Safari. Perhaps the trios have a different formula?

    1. That's what I was wondering, ReNu! Maybe they are a different quality. I think I'll try another one, and then pick up a quad to compare. :) I'll check out the ones you love. Thanks for reading! :)

  9. I haven't tried out Rimmel eye shadows before because I'm always hesitant about the pigmentation of drugstore eye shadows so thanks for including the swatches! Definitely going to be on the lookout for this palette and hopefully do a future FOTD with it. Have a Wonderful Wednesday! :)

  13. Like you recently I am really into green and red/copper shadows, the swatches look really nice colorwise but too bad its not the greatest. I don't usually go for quads or trios...I guess I just havent found one I love yet. Thanks for the review :D
